Proposed Needs

Highway Safety

The Exit 90 northbound ramp terminal intersection with Lickdale Road is experiencing vehicular crashes in excess of similar roadways.

A prevailing need was not identified for this category.

Land Use and Access

While land use along the Lebanon Access area has remained relatively rural, industrial development has been occurring and will likely continue, particularly near Exit 90 in the future.

Highway Infrastructure

The existing structures on existing I-81 and I-78 corridor were constructed in the 1960s and are approaching the end of their serviceable life span.  The existing pavement was reconstructed in the 1990’s and 2000’s and ride quality is beginning to degrade. A gap in ITS devices (CCTV) was identified near I-78 mile marker 2.
